craftsman2021-01-03Kings Point Golf and Country Club is an active 55+ community. Beautiful clubhouse, theater, ballroom and activities rooms that have been remodeled to an upscale level a year or so ago. Several pools, including and indoor pool and natatorium built about five years ago. Two Robert Trent Jones golf courses, one 18-hole and the other an executive 9-hole course. 24-hour gated facilities with manned guardhouses at all times. There is virtually no crime, nor has there ever been. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office provides on-site round-the-clock patrols. All condos are no more than two stories high, with a lanai or balcony, and have elevators. Every unit is essentially a corner unit with windows on three sides. Complete single-floor living in one or two bedroom units. All have washer/dryer hookups. Complimentary daily bus and van service to local shopping, malls and hospital area (highly-rated Delray Medical Center is about one-quarter mile away). Close to fabulous downtown Delray and all its restaurants and shops. 10-minute drive to the Atlantic Ocean beach. Approximately 30 minutes from two major airports (Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach) and 45 to Miami airport. There is no country club buy-in nor continuing dues except HOA fees, which are competitive for the area. Assigned parking and quite a few guest parking spaces. Over a hundred interest clubs. Two on-site restaurants, which also deliver at menu prices and no delivery charge. I am/was a resident of this facility
Edward2020-10-15My parents are currently living in Kings Point. My father needs help, but my mother is not willing to move to one of those places because she is very mobile and she is not willing to give up her SSI. They get no care there. It's like a 55 and over. My mother is 85, but she is good. My father is like 82, and he is not good right now. He can't do anything for himself anymore, and my mother really can't help him. Kings Point's price is reasonable. It is almost like a regular community. It has a main clubhouse with a barber, a gym, and a big theater. They throw shows there, not now because of COVID, but before they used to. It is just independent. I'm 49 so I don't mind living there when I'm 55.They renovated the clubhouse, so it's beautiful. They have security. They have a bus that takes them to the supermarket and to the mall if they want. My parents really don't use all those amenities, but they have a lot of them. They have like six giant pools and they have therapy pools. My mother belongs to a book club. Right now, they're meeting via Zoom. It is something that keeps her mind going.I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
Barbara812413502014-09-23My aunt and uncle lived at King's Point. It was perfect. It was clean. It was a friendly community. It looked great, and it was appropriate for me. I liked the amount of things they offered. I could keep a small dog. If I lived in the ground floor of the apartment, I could have a garden. Since it was 30 years old, a lot had been redone like granite, marbles, and tiles which I liked. As for their apartments, they had one, one and a half, they have two and they had back patios. It was very nice. They do offer a lot of classes and services like swimming, tennis, painting, yoga, pilates, and golf. They had a gymnasium as well. You could choose to go to their restaurant, but normally you would cook for yourself. I would recommend it to others.I am a friend or relative of a resident
